LIBRARY TEAM
STAFF

Nakienya Ledford is our Director. She is a native to the Tellico Plains community, graduate of TPHS and Maryville College, and loves being a librarian. She enjoys welcoming people into the library, helping them find the perfect book, teaching and learning new things, creating displays, crafting, planning and organizing events and programs, Story Time, and helping children grow their imagination with Makerspace activities and the Summer Reading Program. When she is not working at the library, she enjoys volunteering, photography, event planning, kayaking, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and attending church. Fun facts: her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13, favorite genres are non-fiction and mystery, nicknames are NeNe and Lucy, favorite holidays are Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and her favorite season is Fall because she loves pumpkins!

As a senior member of the staff (in every sense of the word), Nicole enjoys contact with our faithful patrons throughout the years as well as meeting new ones. It is definitely the highlight of what she does at the library.
Her curiosity for words and history, as well as her need to connect her native Loire Valley with the hills of Tennessee respond very well to a world of books which bring together people, places, and things.

Tellico Plains is her home - she is definitely a proud Lady Bear!
VOLUNTEERS
|
We NEED enthusiastic, dependable people who love books and organization to volunteer with us at the Tellico Plains Public Library!
If you could give us a few hours every week, come by at a time during the week that is convenient for you, we would appreciate your "helping hands"! |
If you are 16 years old or older. We can make reasonable accommodations for people with mobility impairments -- anyone who wishes to help is welcome! By volunteering you can be gaining valuable experience working with people and helping out. If you do a good job, we can provide you with a good reference for your resume.
